Kelowna-Lake Country MP Ron Cannan
The budget, introduced Monday by Finance Minister, Jim Flaherty, was similar to one he introduced back in March.
The major difference, the March budget was introduced by a minority government while Monday's was tabled by a majority.
Kelowna-Lake Country MP, Ron Cannan agrees there were no surprises.
"There were no surprises primarily because the initiatives contained in the budget are a direct result of the pre-budget consultations with the constituents of Kelowna-Lake Country and my colleagues had with ordinary Canadians," says Cannan.
"We're doing what we said we'd do during the campaign. I think it's a good budget for not only constituents of Kelowna-Lake Country but for all Canadians."
Cannan says the budget is good for Canadians because it focuses on what he says the Conservatives heard during those pre-budget conversations.
"The budget focuses on the priorities we heard from Canadians, helping families, seniors and communities. Helping business create jobs, focusing on education, innovation and training and ultimately balancing the budget.
